Sick MCS200 Emission Monitoring System hot wet CEMS

Sick NDIR Multi Component Analyser System CEMS MCS200

CEMS based on NDIR technology. An analysis system that performs all tasks for accurate emission monitoring: more than 10 components are measured simultaneously.

A main objective of this Sick CEMS MCS200 development is to realize an analyzer with low maintenance requirement and high analysis accuracy for components such as HCl, SO2, NO, NO2, CO, CO2, CH4, N2O, NH3 and H2O.

The Sick MCS200 CEMS TÜV has recently been approved, including a total hydrocarbon FID analyser, the Sick GMS800 Fidor. This is an FID analyser whose detector directly branches off the sample from the sampling line. The advantage is that you do not need a separate sample line and sampling probe. Perhaps unnecessarily: the FID has also been tested on the basis of NEN-EN 15267-3 by the TÜV and is part of the TÜV certificate.

Unique is that the MCS200 can be equipped with the option of fully automatic calibration. To achieve this, a so-called “optical filter wheel” can be built in, which allows calibrations without the use of standard gases. Of course entirely in accordance with the QAL3 EN14181: 2014 standard.

This gives you two main advantages: an economic advantage and a higher availability. The economic advantage lies mainly in the fact that no costs are made for standard gases, cylinder rental, depreciation, reduction, etc. In addition, the calibration with the “optical filter wheel” is fully automatic and therefore no man-days are required. The start of this calibration cycle can even be initiated by the emission registration system.
