Qal1 Flowmeter FMD09
A proven measurement technique to determine a flow rate is the differential pressure FMD 09 Flowmeter (dP measurement). An obstruction is placed in a pipe. The measured pressure difference across this obstruction is proportional to the flow rate.
The most well-known is the measuring plate orifice , including measuring flange. The measuring plate consists of a flat metal plate with a round hole in the middle, which is usually clamped between 2 flanges. 2 pressure measurement points (tapping is in English) are placed in front of and behind the measuring plate. The measured pressure difference is quadratic with the flow.
By measuring additional parameters via the evaluation unit, the process flow rate can be converted to a flow rate at standard conditions. Other measuring components can be corrected to standard conditions using this flow rate.
With emission measurements (CEMS) the current concentrations are determined. For conversion to mass one needs the volume, which is calculated from the gas velocity. This ultimately allows the freight to be determined via software .
